what is needed in the cubase setup (track channel?) to play audio that comes from the audio input.
the input is setup, but i don`t know how to use it in a channel.
i`ve got response in the input channel, it receives the sound but i`m not hearing it. |

| Not sure what u mean, but have u tryed that monitoring that channel, that litle button in each audio/miditrack looks like a "speaker". Try clicking it. |

i just figured it out, it was outside cubase something with the input was on zero volume.
but now i have the question how to use effects on the input.
if i just select an effect i`m not hearing it.
and if i mute it, it just keeps unmuted
it seems like the sound doesn`t go through cubase/nuendo |

| the volume fader outside cubase must be 0. you need to deactivate direct monitoring in the cubase settings. (read the manual) |

my soundcard doesn`t support that, i just wanted to try it.
still have to order a new soundcard.
but now i know what to do if i have it :clown:
so thanks again |

that shouldn't be a problem of which soundcard you have.
just go to Devices > Device Setup > VST Audiobay > and deactivate/decheck the checkbox for "direct monitoring" |

i know, it can`t be checked, that`s why i know it isn`t supported,
or it has to do again with some setting outside cubase (i`m beginning to shame for myself)
but i`m still looking which soundcard to get, i want one with a few inputs so i think i`ll take the audio delta 1010lt. |
