Recently finished this track, a bootleg/remix of Imogen Heaps lovely track "Hide & Seek".
Since this is an unnoficial remix it's okay to play & listen to it as long as no money is made on it. :)

Nice intro, I like the feeling in the break, really nice! But I think the kick too weak and imo I had prefered a bit less vocal, think itīs take over to mutch, but thats just my personal taste. However, well done and thanks for sharing! :toocool:

The kick itself is quite a soft one to fit in with the whole theme wich is kind of lush and laidback.
I tried with many different kicks but this one fitted in best. |

Liking the percs in the intro.
Nice use of the vocal in that one transition at 0:32.
Break at 0:49 is really sudden and unnecessary.
I think this whole pluck and gated synth deal at 1:35 could come in slowly through a filter so it doesn't seem so sudden.
Mallet part is neat.
I like the way you bring the kick at 3:05.
In general, this build is very nice. Quite responsible.
This remix is actually very good at bringing out the feel of the original in a trance setting.
I think your bass could be a bit more prominent, though.
5:08 is a poor handling of the song's inherent energy. The vocals are all peaking, but your beat just keeps pluggin on with no following the vocals.
Meh. The transition into the outro at 7:50 makes me squirm a bit. The mode change could have had something of a lead-in, IMO.
I have to say that I was disappointed that the second chorus, because that's where Imogen Heap makes her point. IMO, it's the most powerful part of the song, and it wasn't there. I think this remix suffered because of that. |

Hi.
Some nice elements in there m8. Percs and bells make it really chilled. Percussion are not bad either. Try to look at the levels here and there. The first acid sound is a bit raw and has a bit too much delay on it I think. I'd give the kick some more power, high end and a bit low. Nice waving gated pad, great floaty stuff. Maybe some vocal editswould make it more interesting to listen, cause it takes quite a while to end this, 6-7 mins would be enough. |

You have no idea how much it hurt me to take it out. I actually had to skip it because of technical reasons. For some reason my timestretching of the vocals didn't work no matter what I did so it was impossible to use it in the track :(
I totally agree with you, that's the mainpoint of the song basicly :/ |
