I think you are confusing fundamentalism with stupidity as many do.
People are always shocked at seeing this stuff like , OMG Christians are stupid. Look how many of those people are morons.

anyway, the point is that stupid people make whatever they are doing look stupid. Vocal stupid people tend to stick out in people's minds as an icon. When in reality they are more an iconoclast than anything.
You all watch stupid movies every day and laugh at boob and fart jokes and then as soon as you see a movie that you agree with its the most truthful and poignant thing you've ever seen. Finally, youve found something as interesting to you as you are!
