Heh, don't know what to write for a description. It's over 8 minutes long, like some of Global Underground stuff - more about feel, but still with melody. It's very rhythmic. Percs are all mine (no loops).

Long reviews are encouraged, and will definitely be returned. Cheers! |

Sometimes it seems like all we want to do is paint
an atmospheric piece, and other times we want to make
a picture that will move people. This same analogy can
be applied to making music. Will the tune take you to a
distant place? Or make the floor under you move?
Track stats
Disconnect starts off very slowly, with weird atmospheric
elements that send chills down your spine. With it's glitchy
synths and excellent syncopation it seems like it's enough to
scare even the most veteran fans of dark trance. Heavy synths
make up the pipe sounding bass. A very minimalist sound is
used for the bassline, but this is made up for as the song progresses.
Chilling pads and crazy percs grip you by the neck. One of the most chilling aspects is the percussive elements, which sound like a million tubes and pipes being banged in a large hallway. An excellent innovationno heard often. The break is by far one of the most chilling andvery dark with a light twist.
Sequencing
Composition-wise the song focuses on empty voids to create a feeling of mysticism and absolute emptyness. It envokes an entrancements of voids and abyss. All your basic trance elements rest
peacefully where they belong. My only flaw with said department is the
long intro which lacks a dj friendly sound, perhaps it could be used
as an intro track.
Studio Jargon
Technically speaking the song is very well mixed, with the exception of a few loud sounds, the track is nicely compressed. There are split second instances where one gets lost in the minimal layers of the song, and then there are times where the kick seems to dissapear for about 3 miliseconds, nothing too distracting.
In the End
Overall it was a great track with originality and atmosphere, and a hint of club flavor to it, I can see this one rocking the floor early into the night, it may be no big super saw trancer, but it's definetly big.
