any tips on warming a pad?

cant seem to get these pads to sound any better, would anyone maybe suggest any sort of technique? looking for a more fuller/warmer pad maybe some better eqing? and yes i guess i should sidechain but i like the kick effect. this isnt a track just trying to expand my skill. using fl studio.

OK finally finished downloading at 8kb/s.

It sounds like you have side-chain compression on it already, but you don't so it must just be fat compression. WAY too much compresion. If you want that effect use a sidechain.

Aside from all that, I'd suggest not to mess with this anymore. It's really just annoying as it is.

i haven't listen to your clip yet (my office had blocked the .mp3 extensions) but i think i could give ya some pointers. pads in general aren't meant to be bright, so you might wanna lower the high freqs or better still roll em off. i've never thought of using compression too cuz pads aren't suppose to stand out (leads should be superior). as for the warmth, if you're using fruity, the decay in fruity reverb helps (i use it alot in accompany to the synth's built-in settings). but of course you must have your synth tweaked to the have a good amount of white noises when the filters are fully open.
