ok ive never had this problem before so i need help. i reinstalled my computer from factory settings as it was too slow. anyway when i reinstalled my audiophile 2496 it worked much better although the problem is i cant have my hardware playing at the same time as my vst tracks. when in cubase i have the patchbay/router settings at wavout 1/2 and wavout s/pdif. to hear my hardware i have to switch wavout 1/2 to monitor mix but this causes the vst midi to turn off. is there any settings that lets them both play at the same time?
thanks |

I don't understand the patchbay / router tab in the M-Audio control panel.. I've always just left it alone, and I can play 3 hardware synths and tons of vst's at once. |

what are your current settings? |

Everythings default besides turning BufferSize/Latency down.
H/W Out 1/2 - WavOut1/2
H/W out 3/4 - WavOut 3/4
on and on.
What is 'Monitor Mixer'? I don't see any difference switching between the two. Could you explain alittle? |

Nice purple PacBell IE.. but I don't understand what 'monitor mixer' does still? How come you have it selected for your S/PDIF out? I use outs 1/2 for my Mackie monitors and S/PDIF for my old computer speakers. However I switch between the two by pressing f4 in cubase and change my output there. |

Thats why when you format an OEM computer you don't reinstall the ty OEM windows! (Can you say: Tons of useless demos/trials/crap/ ppl pay Hewlard Packard to include with their systems no one needs?) |
