so i want to do a little something something for me to use in sets.

preatty much what i want to do is rip a part of a movie... the audio of course, how would i go about doing this? i have the dvd. i tried with windows recorder of wtvr.. and that is not cutting it :s

also how good is the sound quality of this going to be?

after that i will be putting it in a loop and save it as an acapella kidna, but with a 8 beat loop so i can match it with my music.
Aquarian
I've never tried it personally, so I'm not sure it works, but my first instinct would be to just run the DVD on my computer and record the computer's audio directly from audacity, rather than having to go through the hassle of decompiling DVD audio which I'm guessing probably takes a long time. Sound quality should be good enough. Not that you really need super-high quality for voice samples anyways.

audacity?

Any program that can record audio should work. (Pretty much every sequencer?) Go to your mixer, go to options -> Properties -> Recording -> Select Wave. Play the DVD, hit record on an audio track in your sequencer and you should be recording.
