Ideal Midi controler for ableton if you are using it to DJ

I know ther are a few diff types of midi controllers and was interested in getting ableton... what type of midi controller would you use if you were using ableton for mostly djing?

| it depends. if your using it more for dj'ing then it could be a number of things. within that context, if you rely more on ableton than your decks/cds-mixer than that also changes things. my recommendation either way is to go for the M-audio Oxygen 8 (once you get over your keyboard fear ;) ). I have it and its great, although my next purchase and another recommendation is the trigger finger by m-audio to fire off samples etc. the UC-33 also looks pretty damn cool. sorry im a big m-audio fan lol. if your looking for something cheap that would aid you (but its leaning more towards production purposes ofcourse) i recommend the behringer BCR/BCF2000. its cheap but gets the job done. good luck, hope i helped you. |

Or of course you could also upgrade your mixer with an ecler Nuo 4 or Pio DJM 800, both with midi.
Just another (more expensive) option. |

must be nice to have that kind of knowledge of equipment and music stuff heheh... |
