Greetings all, I just posted these links the other day, and a few people reminded me "don't forget to tell people about your Grayarea stuff!!" - so, for those of you that were familiar with my old group Grayarea , I have teamed up with Nosmo(Chicago) & Mike Lord (LA) to start a new live/dj project called Stereo Hype. Grayarea started way-back-when Nosmo and I wrote the first single "One for the Road", which was supported by just about every top DJ in the world and led to great things for Grayarea and myself. This is the first time I have worked with Nosmo in a few years, so we're hoping for the same success with our new project.

We did a few mash ups recently i think you might like, all downloads are 320k MP3's:

Prince "When Doves Cry" vs Wink "Higher States"
New Order - "Crystal" vs. Cirez D - "Punch Drunk" (Stereo Hype re-mash)
The Drill - "The Drill" vs. Pryda "Aftermath" (Stereo Hype re-mash)
download those two here: http://www.stereohype.fm/

These are excerpts from our "Stereo Hype" live sets, which features two DJ's, effects, scratching, all our own re-edits and mash ups in Ableton and on-the-fly. I am planning on posting two mash-ups like this per month, in an effort to get the Stereo Hype name on some playlists.
Thanks for your support!!

Half of this thread belongs in dj promotion whereas the other half belongs in producer promotion. Either way this isn't the right place for this.

lol. Picky a-holes ftw. We're an 8 on a scale from 1-Mr. Mystery.

Oh, and this first mashup is ing weird. It's sequenced and the timing is spot on, but they just should not go together :wtf:

I'll stand proud at being ranked that close to Mystery :happy2:

greyarea stuff is amazing, will definitely be keeping an eye out for stuff under this new alias.

Thanks for posting djkrisb, was wondering what the Grayarea guys were up to. Any chance of the unreleased Grayarea tracks from your old mixes ever being made available?

The third mashup is quite good btw.

those old tracks....
yah, that's a good question - Dave & McRae (the other original half of Grayarea) are still performing as Grayarea, last i heard they did a DJ set at Turnmills in London, but I'm honestly not sure what they're current musical plans are - check out some of their more recent music at:

thx for feedback on the tunes all, the Prince one is a bit odd, it's from back in the day when we played vinyl, there was no add'l sequencing really, that's just the way the tracks line up with each other, which is why we used to mash them together live, I have another one with "Erotic City" and and Orbital track that worx really well :) I have more i'll be posting from AC/DC, Underworld, Talvin Singh and a bunch more - new orignal material and remixes coming out on various labels, if you wanna be kept up to date, you can sign up form my email list at www.myspace.com/djkrisb

I enjoyed the "Punch Drunk on Crystal" mashup, but the others just didn't do it for me...

Thanks for the share though!

It's not the same GrayArea that toured back in 03..their new sound is much more new wave/rock sounding...thanks for the tracks I'll check it out when I get home..
