difficulty finding drive .. to produce :-/

Lately i have been finding it harder and harder to get myself to sit down and work on stuff. Working full time and school I am often left with no energy and ofcourse my fiancee needs me as well (i need her time too). I had recently moved to SF from los Angeles and I put aside Djing for a little while to focus on learning production better. Now I just feel like I don't know what to do, I want to dj now but don't have the time to promote and network. Also I want to make music but find it really difficult to do so with out being at parties. Its really getting to me, I have a hommie up here who produces (amazing stuff) but my mind goes blank everytime we try to work on stuff lol
HOw can i find inspiration go GET THINGS DONE!

I have the exact same problem at the moment. it is just soo frustrating:mad:. i look forward to getting home from work so i can work on some tracks but by the time i get home im just exhausted and have no creativity.

| once you get back home (whatever the time is) sleep for an hour then wake up .. with a cup of anything + cigs and start makin tunez ;) |

You can't really make up inspiration. Don't force yourself and it'll come.
I take regular breaks from producing myself. I often don't even think about producing for two weeks, I just listen to music and relax. After a while I feel the inspiration coming back again and I can knock out several tracks in a week. |

Actually, you have to force yourself to create, dont do it only when you feel like it, youre like someone looking for gold, you have to look hard to find the good stuff. So even if you dont have inspiration, make music.

ive been there too what ive learned is ,your right you c ant f orce inspiration it will come to you
but just find a time when your free maybe before work when the baby is asleep
the best thing to do is if you have the love and aspiration youll find time and somehow make it work to do what you love if you keep making excuses then youll never finish anything so go for it.
i have the same problem but i just made time to do what i love and what ever i dont finish theres always total recal |

Thats a common misconception Marajuna has THC which is mild form of LSD. So while you think you sound like Armin Van burren to everyone else you sound like a bad 1980s movie soundtrack. lol jk but seriously I dont do anything anymore ive been clean for well over 5 years.
I just feel like life always gets in the way when im trying to find the time to make music, or find the time to record a mix and go promote it. I just want to see if there are people in the same boat as me and see how they cope with it. I am serously |_| close to quitting my job and school and focusing 100% on music and Djing. But then i wouldnt have a place to live. |
