Yes, it's 16 voice polyphonic, 2+2 osc / voice, 16 part multitimbral and you can use all 64 oscillators on one voice in unison mode, or divide them any way you like between the 16 parts. Also each oscillator can play all the available waveforms at the same time. |
God damn. |

DeZmA: "you want them to program a "make a great sound" button or what?"
This is my dream DeZmA. I guess the closest thing to that is buying a good sound bank, or .... downing a few brewskies. |

| the andromeda sounds way better in the quality of the sound but the TI is a close to perfect synth apart from that (and it doesn't sound bad, just not as good and juicy as the a6) :) |

If you compare the specs, you can't compare the 2 really. You have all the advantages and disadvantages of analog vs digital. It can sound better I guess, but the warm-up time is an inspiration killer. Then there's the price tag, if you allready have a keyboard you can choose the TI desktop, which is cheaper.
Best thing for you to do is to go to the local shop and try them out. |

| I would die for a local shop that had those synths. Mine has the Novation x-station, and Roland Sh-201 only for analogues, oh and the Korg Radias. |

I too wish there was a shop nearby where I could try them both. Anyway, I've made up my mind and I'm going to get the Virus. There's really no room or need for another keyboard in my studio atm.
Well, actually I'm not going to get it right away, since I just ordered Motu 24i/o audio interface to replace my poor old Audiotrak Inca88. So it's few more months of waiting.. :(
I'm still not sure if I made the right decision..I could cancel the Motu order and get the Virus right now since I have to wait for the shop to get more PCI-424 cards for the Motu. But then again I truly need a better quality audio interface, and I'm struggling with the 8 inputs this one has.
So it's not Virus vs. Andromeda anymore, it's Virus vs. Motu now. :p What do you think I should do? I'm eventually going to get both but not sure which one I should get first. :nervous: |

| Are you gonna be hooking up any more gear besides Virus? Remember you can't use the analog outs on the TI while using it in VSTi mode, so unless your going to be using it as a Virus D, I'd get the Virus first. |

| Virus Ti v. Motu....... If I could just hold a Virus TI.............. If only. |

| Since this a virus thread already. Anyone here who uses a Ti. Does the Ti have drum samples with the Ti ? Or is it strictly just your synth sounds? Im sure this has already been answered but there is to many virus threads to go through. |

Just to point out, it wouldn't have sampled sounds, just sounds created through analogue synthesis. I wouldn't be surprised if there are banks to make analogue style drum sounds for the Ti. Z3ta+ has a great set of analogue sounds in one of it's banks.
Peace! |

| I've heard a couple kick patches but theyre weak. Maybe if you sampled to wav and compressed and overdrive and such.. I dunno too much work. |

They're also weak in Z3ta.
