New release from Sean out today on 'Stereo Cool' :D
Typical sleazy sound from him, great groove :D
The b-side is just as good, remixed by Livio & Roby.

| I find it pretty boring...sounds too much like other groovy releases in the last few months. The remix is more suitable towards my tastes, but again, nothing special. I'm a little bit sick of hearing the same piano sound sample recycled over and over in these kinds of house tracks...I know Sean can come up with something more original than this. |

funny, i was thinking this was one of the more original releases i've heard in sometime. sure the piano hook is relatively common sounding, but the rest of the track i find to be very unique.
toss up between which i'm feeling more, i have to lean more towards the b-side.... it's got more of a big-room sound to it. |

Excellent question.
For such a lackluster producer and DJ, the seeming admiration that Floorwhore has for him is confusing... :conf:
These tunes are OK, but just that, and nothing at all more.
And for the record, I really do think the only reason Lawler has Miller open for him is because by the end of Sean's sets, the crowd is so bored that Lawler could play the worst set of his life and still sound like the worlds greatest DJ... |

| Thats a pretty lame slam on Sean...the sets I've heard from him warming up for lawler have all been really good. Not to mention that like I've said before, his closing set for Lawler I heard last year was almost better than Steve's set. |

The "slam" is based solely on my experiences with his sets and productions, and is no different from what I'd say of any other producer/DJ for whom I have an equal distaste for.
I just don't think he's this great DJ - Beyond that, when I saw him live, every single person I was with asked "Why is this guy opening for Lawler/When is he going to do something interesting?" This was on top of a dancefloor that essentially looked like it was asleep. I'd even go so far as to say my comments on Sean were "nice" by comparison. Beyond that, his demos have consistently bored me, and I've given him plenty of chances - I just don't feel Sean Miller is the caliber of DJ or producer that you'd have me believe he is, and it's based solely on my experiences with him. |

No.
Sean just happens to play a style of house that not only i enjoy listening to, but I also play a style very similar. Sleazy, groovy house music. He is also a local, and when quality comes out of the city I live in - yes I will whore it. He deserves the recognition.
To those who question why Steve chose Sean to be his opening dj on tour, it's simple really. He has a style that is perfect for warming up a party, and it complements Steve's style to a tee. |

I couldn't possibly disagree with a statement more. |
