North Toronto Ski Club

A little premature to be talking about skiing/boarding you may think but last year, our club membership sold out in days so if you want to be part of a touring ski club (Nic and I are members) and get to ski cheaply (great for those with no car) to various hills in Ontario and mountains elsewhere, this is for you!

I knew I recognized your face from somewhere. I was at Blue Mountian at least twice to three times a week last season. Im pretty sure we have chatted on the lift numerous times. I think we first met when you commented on how sexy my new Burton retro twin looked with its matching bindings :D Was that not You?

I cant get riding out of my head lately. Enough of this summer crap, GIVE ME SNOOOOOWWWW!! Get your seasons passes soon before the price doubles.

Yes, that was me, I always flirt with random boarders on the ski-lift.

I am going to learn to board this year although Nic thinks I am not 'cool' enough and that I will bitch-whinge all the time cos my knees and fat ass are sore and I can't stay upright blah blah blah. You should have made the most of the flirting last season as it appears that I will become a miserable-old-hag-that-has-forgotten-how-to-ski-and-can't-for-the-life-of-her-board this year.

I spent 80% of the time ALONE at Blue last year, my shift at work allowed me to be there from friday to sunday every weekend. So Meeting a friend for the day or weekend was always a goal, and always pretty easy.

You probably didnt want to ride with me in the park :D I constantly seen you TO ski club people all over the place every year. Ive never really become friends with any of you though. Just quick chats on the lifts.

I'll teach ya how to ride, Ive been riding since I was 13, and Im 28 now. By no means am I saying Im pro or an expert, and theres been years I didnt go at all in between now and then, but I thourally LOVE it, and I do have the patience to teach nOObs how to hold their own :) Its rather amusing seeing their asses turn to damaged goods :D

As I get older, my bravery is decreasing, and the half pipe and table tops are becoming more challenging by the year. Free riding is unfortunatly easier on my aging bones, which have broken numerous times in my riding years :)

Thanks for that.

The ski club has lessons in the morning on any trips and my friend Brian is a brilliant instructor (so I am told) but as soon as I am up to a level where I can stay upright for more than 10ft, I would be grateful for some instruction from you too. I am used to bruises from going out and getting faced so I am sure boarding injuries will be bearable (especially as I won't be going any faster than 10 metres an hour). It is the personal frustration that I am not looking forward to.....

Hrmmm, just reading the ski club site.....this "might" be of intrest to me. Im going to give it a good once over and disscuss it with my better half. Looks like you guys have alot of fun :)

Alot of people are grumpy, and bitchy and all around miserable in the winter, like most of my friends who dont ride/ski. I swear winter is the best time of year for me. Being out there is like no other therapy.

HAHAHAHA....

I can't wait to see you on a board Rach!!!!! It is going to be the highlight of my winter!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, I will not point and laugh (too much). But I promise I will teach you my masterful techniques in the pipe as soon as you are ready :)

BRING ON THE SNOW.....my Burton is calling me!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 Ha ha ha...it's funny how that happens with age!!! Same thing here...28 and riding since I was 18 but in no way do I take the same risks now that I did then!
