Paul Van Dyk doesnt use vinyl anymore. He uses Serato & Ableton Live at the same time.

News to me, sounds interesting. I thought they were more conventional w/ CDJ/vinyl. Any pics?

Then you probably have never seen a real live electronic music act.

Oh yes the MC-909, how lovely that would be to have in addition to my Electribe EMX-1, I would be unstoppable :whip:

As soon as I graduate I am so getting me a Roland MC-909, I desperately need that built in part mixer in addition to other new features :nervous:
Is there any other groovebox that can top the MC-909 feature wise ?

At least throw your electribe in the trash once you get the MC-909.

What are you talking about!
Have you ever used an Electribe EMX-1 before ?
I can't complain about my Electribe it was like one fourth the price of the Roland MC-909. I love the Electribe I just wish it had a part mixer, however the quality of it is really good and it helped GREATLY get started in the music production hobby.

Just think about it once I have both I will end up with 32 parts to play at the same time! The only thing that can top that off is 2 MC-909ers then that is something else.

Cheers

I apologize I was quite drunk when I posted that, but yes I've messed around with electribes before or I wouldn't have said what I said.

Yeah or you could use a decent computer based sequencer and not be limited to how many parts you can play.

I understand what you are saying , I am not software-phobic (note the avatar ;)) however once I started producing tracks on a groovebox, I knew there is no way I am going back to software.

It just feels right, I prefer to leave the software for touching things up instead of producing, I guess I love having everything at my fingertips literally.
