Digital Sucks (pg. 4)

1st song Imagination's pluck lead is software. Probably Vanguard, has that annoying high end metallic sound. The pluck supersaw at the breakdown with too much resonaunce is also software. The pad in the background is probably software too.

I'm trying to listen to the rest but it's such generic plastic trance I can't wait that long for it to load the breakdown so I can hear the software solo when it's easiest to spot. That WEAK pad in "Arashi" in the background is 100% obviously software. Most of your pads completley lack warmth actually, I'd say there all software.

I'm gonna say it's ALL software, given that every song sounds like a bunch of vanguard presets thrown together with alittle vstation tossed in, and if you had hardware why would you be using Vanguard lol.

Not really. You've got one guy making it too easy for you, what do you say to the many who reply contrarily with intelligence?

*sigh*

The argument I had with harriz over in MD a week ago was more engaging than this.

Uhm.. dont know what to say! But you must be one of the most lamest people in this forum. Cant remember you ever posting anything useful or something decent to listen to! ZZZZzzzz:rolleyes:

Anyway, the only thing you where right on, is that i used The Vanguard for the intro pluck in Imagination. Yes its metallic, and that exactly what wanted when i made it!

Second, there isnt any pads in Arashi! Its sampled aucustic strings, there supose to sound like that!

And how can this be "plastic trance" if it sounds "metalic"? What do you listen to then, "rubber trance maybe"?

"Plastic" or not, the point was to see if you guys are that good at hearing what is what, not to throw at my productions, you a-hole!

grrr!

Think you need to get back to the schooldesk again and practise a bit! ;)

ditigal synths have caught up with analog synths a long time ago like the creamware stuff for example.

pixxxan
every major artist, even if they have expensive hardware units like synths, akai samplers, analog sequencers fx racks, they all use some kind of digital host or plugin. Hard disk recording is here to stay, if u dont like it, well u have the right to whine all over the place, and keep using ur 4 tracker. Ome example very clear is that many professional artists have dumped their akai samplers in favour of sofware samplers like NI Battery or Kontakt: why? because they give u time to concentrate on the music, rather than senseless programming in a lame visual interface.
Also if u think that only analog sounds are to be intended to be in music, well man ure so lame. I think that any serious Electronic musician will agree with me that analog and digital sounds complement , each other and makes the mix (music) more interesting and complete. if u are not an electronic musician then i dont know ehat u doing here and making these "digital sucks" stupid statements.
MrJiveBoJingles
Not to mention stuff like Reaktor and Max/MSP, each of which you can get for half the price of a single cheap analogue synth.

"Digital sucks?" Hell no. :p
