So i have been working on this tune for about a week i think it has great potential but i been staring at the screen for the past 3+ days with no progress...I was thinking if anyone wanted to do a collab and see what you can come up with im all for it, cause im not getting anywhere with this.
I rendered an mp3 of what i did for the beginning then just some crap i came up with...

GWR, I went through similar a few weeks ago. It will pass, trust me. I'm back and producing after what felt like the biggest slump of my life from early summer throughout. If there's advice I can give, it would be advice given to me from friends on this board actually.
Put it down, don't touch it. Don't force it. Try firing up Peak or some audio software and take some of the sounds you might use in a trance project (especially drum sounds) and start tweaking them to hell. You will find you can get inspired simply by doing something as small as timestretching, mod-delaying, etc. If you're one of the odd fellows like me who really get inspired by artistic use of effects, then try doing something different...run your lead synth line through a bass amp, turn down the bass, turn up the treble...do whatever just to alter things and bring new life to your inspiration.
Another thing is to try and make free time to do something other than compose. Sleep in if you don't regularly (I can't sleep in past 10am LATEST because I love doing most of my heavy-duty music work on saturday/sunday mornings).
Guys help me out here, you all helped me out quite well when I had my slump, this fellow needs us now too. :) |

you are right about potential.
When you bring in the LPF, I would boost the master volume up at the same time. To avoid the computer generated feel, try playing with velocity on individual drum notes and bass notes. The synced synth at 1:18 sounds like dead center, I would try to brighten it up, spread it. Thats my .02
which software is this? |

hmm played around with your flp for a bit. couldnt get some synths to load in properly, probably a software version mismatch anywawys -- kept your bass patch, your sytrus pad, pianorolled melodies (a little chopped on the piano) kick and cymbal. added fl keys, and a pad or two to try to warm it up but i failed there... threw on a multiband c at the end. just a minute long =\ something a little different.

How do you work on one song for a week? I can't stay focused on one song for more than an hour.. |

No worries about loosing inspiration... It might mean you have used up all of your good ideas so you need time to recharge.
I can't work on my music for more than one hour either (at least not at the same track unless I have to).
Don't rush it, think about it :) |

I lost all inpiration to produce...I was working on the same track for like 8 months(off and on) with no progress....its been about a year now and I found that I have lost all interest in trance and now I'm just listeing to a lot of music...I'm now producing rock type music, like Cold Play and Keane style. Keane is the ! |

I hate getting into those ruts where melodies just dont sound as good as they used to... but it feels so damn good when you get back out and you can listen to a drum loop for 5 hours and not get bored of it haha. |
