And Stig Blomquist is the kind of man that can bend space and time and write his own goddamn laws of physics. He's that good.

LOL.

Too bad Eddie Irvine wasn't a TA - A 3-way slagging match would be really entertaining...:toothless

Spa Francorchamps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than Monza ... Monza is a joke of a challenge in terms of skill requirements vs. Spa's 5+ miles of bends & off cambers, just check the interviews & what the drivers have to say about that amazing corner Eau Rouge... or just look at that track's obituaries ... Gilles Villeneuve, Rosberg, & on ...

Agreed. Monza's lack of curves remove any passing opportunities, so the races there become almost predictable.

Honestly I am very sad to see him go. You can say what you want about boring races, but if you like watching any competitor at their peak in any sport, schumi was it. Absolutly nobody could match the 'predictable' manner in which he can crank out fastest lap after fastest lap.

I have been watching F1 for 10 years, and there have been many drivers who came and went during his time, but nobody could truly match his pace over the years. To be the oldest driver on the grid, most experienced, and still be so dominant in such a physically demanding sport is amazing. The guy is 36-37 and can still keep up with such young atheletes.

If you actually like watching a fast driver Schumi is it. I honestly did not care all those years he dominated because that ment I got lots of onboard shots of him driving his perfect laps. Seeing him 4 wheel drift a F1 car around corners, barely staying on the curbing, just to try and get that extra tenth was so much fun to watch.

My biggest regret is that I did not watch his first 2 championships.

Hopefully he wins the championship this year and goes out on top. It is only fitting for a sports man of his stature. Schumi = KING.

Spa and Albert Park are my fav courses. Spa for the pure difficulty, and Albert park for its perfect mix of slow, medium and high speed turns.

A game of F1 Challenge 99-02 anybody? :D

I got a story about his younger brother Ralf...

I did corporate customer relations at Compaq ("I WANNA SPEAK TO THE PRESIDENT NOW"), when we sponsored the BMW-Williams team. All the team's computers were Compaq.

For the Montreal grand prix, I handled a simple call from Ralph who had a minor issue with his consumer-model laptop he depended on for his business and car stuff.

For his pit crew however, some n00b tech on his team kept blowing power supplies on the key PC that manages their car computers and stuff. I executed new power supplies installed by one of our techs to replace it 3 times in one day. After the 2nd time, my tech discovered the pit crew guy had 220v feeding into his 110v switchable power supply, and the idiot didn't think of flipping the switch to 220v. Idiot!

It cost us several hundred dollars for my tech to go onsite with a new power supply within 4 hrs, and a lot of talking on my part convincing race security and management to let my tech go through the gates for this emergency.
