Hey Guys, just bought some Senn280pros. These little guys are a beast. So they are amazing and everything. I don't like how they don't have their own volume control. So if i'm browsing through tranceaddict, and that "you won... XYZ" add pops up IT"S SUPER LOUD. I have winamp on 2%. Obviously I can turn down the main sound in the control panel, but just wondering if you guys normally listen with your senn280's on near or full volume. Am I a wimp using 2% volume in winamp :sadgreen: ?

Thanks!

Peace

I'm using like 20% now, you just keep wanting to turn the volume levels up.... :D

whats the point in buying a set of good headphones only to listen to music at 2% volume ? lol.. i heard those cans are great sounding tho, i have the dh 25's but the 280's are ment to be just as good. I hate the way the drivers are so small in the hd 25's tho

They are designed to be used with mixers that usual have volume control on the headphone out. If you are already more than comfortable with low levels a volume then keep it that way. Too many people are going def already.

the problem isn't your headphones, it's you not knowing how to use a computer. don't adjust the volume on winamp, adjust the total volume of your computer -> problem solved.

Heh, heh...

I use Kernal Streaming as my audio output on Foobar2000. That bypasses all the windows crap and feeds the audio stream straight from the drivers. Hence, if i make changes in windows wave volume, it doesn't cut out foobar2000 output.... Hence, windows wave out can be 0%, but my headphones can be cranked right up. Usually i hook them up to my mixer, and use the mixer amp, because just laptop isn't loud enough.

Thanks Skip, but I already mentioned exactly what you said in my first post. These cans are .

keep winamp full volume, but adjust your windows volume instead, i have a volume control in my sytem tray set up, and it works just as good
