May I suggest an improvement for next time anybody on TA has a cruise/event/etc (which is made publicly available for anybody to participate in)?
The system used to get on this cruise (send an email, wait for response, no guarantee, no request numbering/priority system) appears to be troublesome, difficult to administer and confusing (all in varying degrees, based on this thread).
A standard ticket sales system (first come, first serve, ticket sold when money received, etc) would mitigate much of the issues relating to getting on this cruise and at the very least optically it would be a vast improvement.
Thanks to the event organizers for making this cruise possible and we all know and understand that arranging such an event is a huge undertaking and requires a lot of hard work and co-ordination. Thank you. |

I agree.
Since this event has been set up in such a way, I suggest that EVERYONE gets there at 12:15.
This will give us time to collect the $$$ and get people on the boat in an organized manner. |
