Didn't realize it was the old Table 50 and just looked up the description on Citysearch.

quote:
A Soho basement bar promotes pure dancing pleasure, reminiscent of the city's nightlife heyday. The trend of pretention has grown tired, and this underground lounge aims to resurrect a dear but long-lost cause--the uninhibited, free fun of music and dancing. A shadowy staircase leads down to the humble den, where the gay boy majority moves unabashedly to the nightly spinners' electro, dark disco and house. Breaks are had on plush banquettes in recessed spaces, and artwork hangs on rich wooden walls under vaulting and brick arches.

I think I have said at least 2-3 times that Table 50 closed and became a gay bar/club. :whip: :tongue2
