I'm not sure what waveform that is, but that effect on the bass at the breakdown is a bitcrusher. |

Yep, it's a bitcrusher. In reason, the scream4 distortion has a bitcrusher called Digital. Give that a go.
It's also got some sidechain compression on it. |

You're looking at a square wave, it sounds like. Simple fast attack, fast, maybe exponential decay, and finally a load of compression. Stick on a bicrusher and some sidechaining, and you're good.
[edit]Actually, that might just be a distorted sine wave.
[edit2]On second thought, it isn't. The ADSR filter wouldn't make such a nice popping noise if it weren't a square wave, and it's too hollow to be a saw. |

thanks for ya advise to use the bitcrusher. i am not only looking for the sound in the break but also for the simple bassline at the beginning. |

To me it sounds a little bit of what you might get out of Audiorealism's Bassline when you leave the wave undistorted.
It has that slightly acidic quality of a 303 but I guess you can get it from a host of other VSTs these days |
