Hey hey!
Does anyone know where I can find some reviews about the Adam A7 monitors? Or even better, does anyone here own them and can give me some info about them?
Good/bad? Sound Curve? Do I need a subwoofer?

I havent heard the A7 but I have auditioned the ADAM P11a. The A7 is basically the same as the P11a except the integrated amps are rated at half the wattage and the woofer is different. It uses the same tweeter as the P11a so basically everything above the 2,000hz crossover is P11a territory on the A7 except that you cant drive them as loud. But I should stress the P11a can go stupidly loud - if you use the A7 for nearfield monitoring only, I doubt you will drive them anywhere close to capacity. I don't know how the woofer differs or whether its close to being as good as the P11a in bass and low mind range terms but the P11a thumps like you wouldn't believe.
Give or take the P11a is the best monitor I have heard (albeit the most expensive too) so you may want to take a mental note of that. I don't see that much competition against it in this price bracket so definitely check them out if you can. |

Bass resonse is kinda weak IMO, you may want to take a demo CD to a local store and check them out. Otherwise you may have a little bit of trouble mixing the bass. |
