JP's music is auditory diarrhea - lame cheesy diva vocals and lame tribal tech nyc style garbage tracks, he's not great technically, and the crowd he brings in is worse = ty dj. I dont care for his productions that I've heard either like "Going Thru IT" He has quite a following up here in Boston as well as NYC but I've given him 4 chances....no more. I went to see him those times after hearing about "how great he was" from NyC friends but he's a joke in my opinion..Gets way more attention than he deserves.

There is no point whatsoever of having that much equipment for simnply DJing house music.

Zabiela does 100,000x more creative stuff than JP ever has using 2 CDJs, a laptop and an EFX-1000.

Agreed. Some people think having all of this fancy spancy stuff will somehow make them cooler..better or whatever. I think as long as you have a good track selection, are decent technically, and know how to interact well with a crowd...you shouldn't need all of that. I bet in four years, most DJs will only be using laptops, as many are now. All this guy really needs is a laptop and serato or ableton and he's all set...like PvD or Sasha do. And they are much more respected DJs than this guy seems to be...but I haven't seen him/heard him so I have no idea...

Like I said, I never liked his music, but he's getting paid well for some reason. Perhaps, it's because the listeners have bad music in music? Now, that I'd agree with. :stongue:

Anyone remember that story about Jonathan Peters passing out during one of his sets? I heard he was out for like an hour with the same track looping over and over :wtf:

You'd need 8 people to use all that crap to half of its potential. Most of it is ing useless.

At Avalon he played the same loop from a track for 25 minutes.

I can't get over this. I heard him last year in Miami and it was disgusting. Wasn't really doing anything innovative and certainly wasn't playing any good music. A bunch of classics interspersed with what sounded like "now that's what I call house 2005". It was labled "A Jon-a-thon". The whole group of people I went with got a big laugh out of that.

I think the cover of his website speaks for itself....that guy looks creepy...
