..is a good little player. Bas has left his at my house for the last month or so, and I've been using it with the other 2 1000s when doing long mixes or just to get the next tracks ready to go. Sometimes I'll play a whole set going back and forth between the 800 and the 1000 to see how it feels. The 800 can def hold its own with the 1000, despite being .05% increments vs .02% Only thing I miss is the waveform and hot cues, but I barely use the hot cues anyway.
Also, it seems I have an easier time locking the beats with the 800 platter than the 1000. The 1000 platter is so sensitive that I'll find myself "fishing" more with it than the 800, even though the 800 has a looser feel.
Thoughts? |

Thoughts? | the platter on the 1000 is more sensitive i agree...... but thats whats good about my mk3.... i can tighten it or losen it.... its always all the way tight.
and ya i have an 800mk2 and a 1000mk3... both work great.... the platter of the 800 is the one from the dvdj if im not mistaken so it feels alot nicer... and the platter has a bit more grip which is nicer even when the 1000 is all the way tight, i like using both though :p |

I use 2 x 800mk1's. I've thought many times about selling them to get 1000's but then I don't really need waveforms, cool as they are I'm not convinced I need all the hot cues when playing trance ...but I'd love 0.02% increments :tongue2 In the end I always end up sticking with my trusty old faithfuls :p
Glad to hear you like them Clovis, they're often underrated. Great little units :) |
