Curriosity I guess. Maybe Im too much geek for my own good.

Its kind of like being drunk at the bar, and grinding with the fat girl. You know people are talking about you, and you know you wouldnt if you were in your right mind, but deep down inside, you wanna bang her :D

"...I got a copy of Vista Ultimate for free, legally, so why the not?"

So I was a complete dumbass and left my notebook unplugged while I loaded a ghost image of my VSTs onto Vista..

Well, I came back and my power had run out. Great.

HOWEVER - There's a new little feature called 'Resume Loader', which seems to work like Hibernation (but I'm pretty sure I have hibernation turned off.. Wierd), but brought me *right* back to where I was almost instantly.

in' cool.

I had it off too, installation of vista re-enables it.

sadly the best stuff has been dropped/postponed... most of what i can see is cosmetics and more burial of functions of external software into the o/s

im mostly just interested in seeing the maturity of the 32-bit execution layer for the 64-bit version

For those interested in the new look of Vista but not willing to sacrifice the reliability and support of XP just yet, you can try this new vista transformation pack. Its like a theme I suppose, but alot more

Its freeware and from the screen shots, looks pretty authentic.
