Need advice on recording vinyls

I am trying to record some vinyls into my comp, but am
having a few problems getting a decent sound. Here's the
layout I am using:
turntable---->amp---->mixer---->soundcard
Once I record the music, I clean it up using cool edit pro.
I use the 20 track eq, but it doesn't seem right. Anyone
else who record vinyls can you give me some pointers or advice?

i thought it was just
mixer ---> to sound card
use a jack to jack lead. On one end tho the Jack has to be one of the large jacks, coz the socket in ur mixer is fat. Obviously the line in, in ur soundcard is a small socket. I mite be wrong tho!!! |
