I haven't seen a thread done on this track before on TA and I think this production deserves one. I received this track from a friend through e-mail as a set rip, to my knowledge this track has not been released. I've been a fan of Jes Brieden for the past few years since she lent her vocals to "as the rush comes". This track is probably my favorite one that she's been featured on since ATRC. Does anyone know if this track will ever see a release and who the hell is Guardians of the earth, call me a noob if you want but I've never heard of them.

I think your sample is of the Quasi Dub - it's definitely not the original. Load of really.
The Paul van Dyk TPOD Rework of the original is the better version. He takes out the really bit (ironically the equivalent of the original section that is in your sample) and puts a decent intro on it. Wish I could get ahold of that version. |

the dream traveler also did a remix of this song, which was really good it was called
dream traveler - guardians of the earth, the dub mix isnt that great, but teh vocal mix is very good. its not on discogs but yea, its awesome.
edit: here is a 2 minute sample of the one done by dream traveler, its my favorite out of all of them, its a progressive version though, but really good imo

The TPOD Rework, really is good.
Ive never heard that Quasi Dub, but those vocals are horrific, just goes to show PvD did a great job with it.
Just like he did with Noemi - Y.O.U (Mezziah Mix), he took out the really cheesy elements, and made it into a great track. :) |

starchildren is a great track, agreed the tpod rework is top notch, loads of energy, and that pvd kick. how it should be.
pauls rework of naomi - y.o.u is blinding, great job he did on that, quality track. takes me back to the cream amnesia set.

You can recreate that Naomi version by cutting out about 30 seconds of the track and adding a tiny effect to cover up the cut.
Starchildren is one of his best reworks though. |

I have to disagree with Mikey Mike. Yes the vocal in the Quasi Dub is absolutely terrible, but the vocal in the original track (which is the same vocal) is cracking. Hear the entire track here (I own this on vinyl):

For those that are interested but can't be arsed to listen to the whole thing 4:25 is where the killer vocals start!
This is the closest to the TPOD mix, it was clearly the one PvD worked from.
Although not as good as the TPOD mix I reckon this is a quality tune, I have it on vinyl. My only critisism is that it goes on a bit and gets a bit boring. But quality vocals - the bird in it sounds hot.
