kinda obvious when you are watching the Dance Floor Charts on MTV, I saw it too :D |

Here in the US, we have 2 music channels: MTV and VH-1.
MTV is all about hip-hop and gangsta rap. So when you switch to the other channel, VH-1, you see their slogan: "What a joke MTV is, with all their rap... DO THE MUSIC JUSTICE!"
Soon, however, you realize that their idea of "doing the music justice" is -- you guessed it -- American rock and alternative, maybe with some heavy metal.
Electronic music like techno-dance and trance is NEVER mentioned ANYWHERE, as if it doesn't exist. |

100% correct ;) just that earlier they would not bother to play those tracks on that show, just kylie minouge and such crap... seems as if they have reconsidered... |

watch MTV 2 on Friday nights, I saw trax like Urban Train, Born Slippy, I See right Through to You, and of course....Rapture....
too bad there's Chemical Brothers and other crappy "dance & techno" in between. |

NO, it just means that because they picked up on some good songs, that you have to either stop liking the tunes, or risk being a 'bad person' who listens to commercial ...or something like that.
basically MTV will never 'get better' its just how you choose to look at music in general. i say give them bonus points, but dont pay too much attention cause you wont be able to tolerate those songs after multiple replays. late/ |

MTV2...and yeah you can see AMP at all sorts of bizarre times most people ignore.
and another thing...dont diss rap, but "Chemical Brothers is crappy dance & techno "? what the hell are you talking about. recently Star Guitar has been the best video i HAVE EVER seen, and its nearly trance...but thats not my problem. how can you try to make someone more 'open minded' about rap, and then flip the tables to say something even more uninformed? late/ |
