In regards to..... (apart from your current occupation)
Akridrot
Well I'll be programming, and I am a lover of graphic arts. Photoshop, 3DSmax/Maya/blender/XSI, etc. When I get my together, I'll learn how to raytrace because I REALLY enjoy that (but just can't do it). If you have skill and talent, you could work with me on some of my projects. Online of course.

Go to Cgtalk.com, it's a great site for people into graphics.

Well, hoping to complete both years to get an Honours, prolly a multi-skilled so & so for something in animation, web design, graphic design, etc. Either work for a business or become a freelancer.

Working in entertainment would be good too (cartoons, music, film, etc.)

I dunno. There's so many ways to go in the media industry because it's everywhere and everything you see every day.

I like to keep an open mind. :)

:) Art is something I couldn't do, nor science. And the things i was good at (In a mass maths exam we did at age 15, i came in the top 30 in the country in one section, but mid-range on the others, i lacked logic :p) and did well in english, languages & so on too. I also burnt lots of people in woodwork/metalwork. Nobody came near me with a soldering iron :stongue:

Back in 1990 or so, i wanted to work on computer games, but as they've become more & more graphical, i decided not to bother even trying due to how bad I am. I draw at a 6 year old's level. Doesn't help that my art teacher was an eccentric prick with a tendency to peer down girls tops & rip my work up cos i just did what i wanted to instead of what i was meant to :thepirate

OMFG, Those pics are amazing!! I'm a million miles from doing stuff like that. I only have beginners knowledge on 3D modelling, Carrara is what I've got, baby's rattle compared to the software used for some of thsoe creations.

But yeah, that's the level I want to achieve! :D

Glad you like it! I gawk at the work in that forum all the time.

If you ever reach that level, we're in business! :D

haha! Most of my teachers were women anyway, but there were alot of dodgy pervs in my school too. :nervous: :p

I also wanted to do computer game design but I didn't have a head for code nor do I possess any consoles.

Languages I was good at too. I'm thinking of taking it up again. I have some French, German and Spanish lying dormant somewhere in my head. When I start again, it'll all come back to me.

In Techy, I had this awesome Gothic woman for a teacher who'd let you listen to rock and metal during class and was totally chilled out. :thepirate

I'll never know if my 40 something y/o registration teacher of 3 years was really ghet or not.... imo, I think he was. :stongue:

i can do numeracy all day, it just comes so easy to me, but i could never grasp algebra, my teacher didnt want to teach it more than once & since i didnt get it then, he made no effort to help me, so i ended up bored & eventually demoted to the 2nd level after asking him to explain something, he refused so i just tipped my table over & sat on the floor for a good half hour drawing random in my notebook.
