Mixer to combine with two cdj 800 mk2's?

Hi there! I'm right about going for my first set and I'm totally convinced about getting two PIO cdj 800mk2, although I'm not quite sure about what mixer to combine with the players! At first I thought about the djm-400, it looks pretty neat and nice! But is there anything in about the same price range (about +/- 10%) that gives me a lot of more features/better sound quality and all that?

Please guide me through this djungle :) Thanks

if you get the vestax VMC-004XL it will be great with those cdjs...especially considering your on a budget..the vestax has amazing sound quality and great cue system, and 4 channels for expansion if you wish. good luck man...cheers

If you don't need more than 2 ch's, honestly, go for the 400. You're gonna be hard pressed to find something with more features (it has a bunch of high quality effects, the same quality as an efx 1000) and better overall sound quality.

I see, what about the A&H Xone:32 ? I might need a third channel for a vinyl player in the future :) I know the A&H is a bit more expensive, but is the higher price because of the third channel or something else?

Well, it's definitely one of the best 3 ch mixers out there based on what people say here in the forum. It doesn't have effects but you could always add a pio efx 500 or 1000. The filters on it can produce cool "effects" of sorts anyway though. So yeah, it's another good option.

the higher price is because your paying for the "name brand" although quality with them is guranteed so id like to think that your paying an extra $200/$300 for that.

I have the 32 and I in love it. The filters are nuts and sound quality...well...it's A&H. Highly recommend it.

Yeah the filters on A+H's are very nice indeed, though I have a 92 so the 32 might not be quite the same.

That lil' Pio 400 is a nice little mixer though! Played around with it in the store and I was impressed with the feel and feature set.

As for it only being 2 channels, don't forget that you can connect a TT to one of the inputs and switch beween phono/line with the switch...
