Why is it that if you're driving 100MPH and there's a fly inside the car, it won't get smashed against the windows?

The air inside the car, for one is not being effected by the motion of the vehicle.
I swear this was on Jeopardy before.
I should just ask my friend, he is a MIT rocket scientist.

Because the air mass inside the car isn't travelling at 100mph - and so the fly travels at normal speed. :D |
