Why is it that if you're driving 100MPH and there's a fly inside the car, it won't get smashed against the windows?

The air inside the car, for one is not being effected by the motion of the vehicle.

I should just ask my friend, he is a MIT rocket scientist.
That is the solution to everything. Ask someone smart. :) |

Because the air mass inside the car isn't travelling at 100mph - and so the fly travels at normal speed. :D |

Why do we need either of those great institutions, when this question's answer should be obvious to anyone who adheres to logic? :wtf: |

You guys are so lame. You see, when you drive you're not driving ON the earth, it's moving UNDER you...you stay completely still. Therefore any and all persons or objects in the car are stationary while the earth moves under you. Duh. |
