Some really impressive, socially critical art from what I saw. I'm no art major, but here are some highlights in my eyes. Go here for more pics of the art (below the pics of the celebs in attendence) - http://supertouchblog.com/?p=317

Banksy rocks, alot of mixed reviews about this gallery though. A few of my friends went and said they were upset at the fact that a graf artist is putting his stuff on canvas and would've rather seen it up on brick. "Art for hipsters" is what one of my friends said. They also said the elephant looked uncomfortable.

lose. I never agree that an artist should stay to just one medium to vocalize their message. Just as long as they can portray it well in whatever medium they choose.

I agree, I don't think it matters either way. Personally, though, I just think it looked cooler on walls, buildings, bilboards, etc...I really enjoyed the "guerilla" feel of it. He had a real live elephant painted up to match the wall paper of a living room he had set up walk around with actors pretending to be a family. The elephant represented poverty and although it was right in their living room, the family ignored it. Cool idea, but sucks for teh elepehant. It was like 80 degress in LA this weekend, imagine being painted up walking around inside a hot warehouse for 4 hours.
