Nope, ducks (like geese) use their wings as their primary defence weapon... they will hit you with their wings. Loons on the other hand will stab you repeatedly with their beaks... I actually saw a loon go after a bear at my cottage, the bear ended up as a bloody mess (black bears can't swim very well so the loon had lots of time to attack before it could make it the 7m or so to shore). |
