Quadro is 4 channel sound - basically the same as 4 speaker surround sound. If you're writing a stereo track, there isn't a lot of point in using it - you might as well just use stereo for everything.
I'm pretty certain there are ways of mixing quadro channels down to stereo channels - your best bet could well be by making your output channel stereo and creating a quadro group channel, then routing the different quadro channels into either side (left/right) of the output channel.
The reason you can't mix it down straight is that the output wave file can only have 2 channels (wave file format does support more than 2 channels, but there are very very few programs that can play wave files with more than 2 channels properly) |
