i want the old regular msn messenger. is that possible? |

| i installed it recently. Its not bad if you use http://www.mess.be/ patch. The only thing i miss are the litle display pics beside peoples names |

first of all, how do u even log off??? there's no "file" menu to bring down. i have to minimize it and then right click the icon in the tool bar to sign off.
oh and some of my contacts disappeared and all these other contacts (from hotmail) are on my list and i can't get rid of them even though i can't even use messenger to message them. If I try to delete the contact, it says that it will also be deleted from my hotmail contacts.

you may find that MSN has blocked access to older versions upto a certain version. I know 7.x still connects, whether 6 or earlier connect is doubtful.
I gave up on MSN months ago. I got sick of a simple client being overloaded with buttons, silly options, adverts and general clutter.
http://amsn.sourceforge.net/ - is MSN for Linux, but also ported to Windows. No adverts, basic interface, not ugly, alot more useful options than the real MSN.
give it a whirl. i havent turned back. |

Anybody knows whats with the msn messenger for macs? Like I can't have a web camera chat thingy with anyone...i have to shift to windows...whichis sorta retarded...
