Time Warner Cable Subscriber Guide (help)

Figured I need something like this and maybe your input could help me with cutting my bill down but still getting the stuff I want.

I guess I'm calling this a guide because I'd like to know who has what, how do they like it, and how much they are paying. I just can't help but think that Time Warner is basically a form of organized crime because they still end up robbing you blindly.

So here's my dilemma!
No ESPN HD! Crap with college football and Monday Night now on ESPN, it makes me sad to watch sports on regularly televised channels. HD is really that much better!

So now I'm paying $91.83 for
Digital Cable
HD Channels (701-713)
HBO + OD
Cinemax + OD
Showtime + OD
TMC + OD

I decided I don't watch jack crap on TMC, and they don't even offer late night showing [lol], so I had that removed but only for a measily $5. I'm considering chopping out Cinemax and just keeping HBO and Showtime and adding ESPN HD for $8.95 extra [bastards]

So tell me which have you subscribed to, how much you pay, and which premium programming do you suggest in best combination to get some of the latest and greatest and classic movies.

Cablevision people eat a sock, I wish I had opt-online i-net service, TWC RR is horrible overall for an overly abused cable line.

Please only people who are affording their own service reply, i don't need to know what your parents have and how awesome it is because it wouldn't be awesome if you were paying for it.

that sounds pretty good.. yeah cinemax is wack... much better shows on hbo & showtime. i guess espn is worth it if you like sports.

trunks1022
wait, does that 91+ include RR?

i have no problems with RR in queens. pretty reliable :P
kid nyce
no thats just my cable not i-net as I split that with my neighbor, she's got earthlink via RR which isn't all that bad just that my experience on RCN and Opt Online pretty much blazes RR to crap

I'm not sure exactly what I pay... but I have the HD package with Time Warner and I get ESPN on channel 725. That's weird that it's not included for you.

the bastards in this case are the guys at ESPN because they ask for the high sub fees.

anyhow, i have dtvalue (cause there is no point in having cable without the sports channels) and it's like $60. looks like you get a whole bunch of extra channels that i don't get, which are actualy good, so it might be worth it to pay $90. well, as long as you watch a majority of the extra channels that is

there's a reason why i've been boycotting the nightlife, not only has it spiralled horribly into a teen-no-id night, i have HD at home =)

You seriously gotta be joking. Ever since Cablevision upped their Optimum online service, I've been able to upload stuff at over 200KB/sec..I don't know any other service giving you that much upload speed at home. Downloading goes over 1mb/sec :toothless

your concern for the history is irrelevant to the service this topic is on about....opt onlines internet service is probably one of the best ones out there in the tri-state.
