Mixer dilemma

I'm pretty new to DJing - I played around with ableton and traktor. Now I need an external mixer. I don't know which one to get. Here are the requirements:
-must be compatible with PC
-must have hi/mid/low kill switches
-built-in effects are preffered
-must be durable(I dont want the crossfader to crap out soon)
-must be under $200
People suggested Numark(i know practically nothing about these), Vestax ( a bit pricey) and Pioneer(way out of my price range). How about Gemini? They seem to be a bit cheaper then the others and are not quite as crappy as Behringer.
Here are the mixers I'm currently looking at:

Any other suggestions?

searching would result in the following answer:
you get what you pay for...
thus if you save the money for a djm800 youll have full midi capability, effects, kill or atleast mostly isolating eq's and itll last you for a damn while.
if you go for a gemini or crap behringer or something well its damn low prices but expect them to be low quality. dont mean to come across bad, im just letting you know that when shopping for DJ equipment you need to decide between shelling out extra cash for the features your lookking for. good luck man |

Thanks for the reply. I dont need to save up to buy djm800 - it's just that I dont want to spend much money on something I might abandon in the near future. I just want to make sure I really like to DJ before spending serious money on it. I highly doubt that anybody started with a $1000+ mixer  |

| DJM-400 might be another option. |

glad to hear you have the correct mindset then, for some reason i was under the impression you had other decks and mixers before, but regardless, something in the cheaper end of the spectrum that has AMAZING sound, build and layout (but no midi capabilities) is the vestax VMC-004....like someone already mentioned though you might want to look at the djm400. |

| Check out the Ecler Nuo 4. It's about $749 but i'm sure you can negotiate to get it lower. I'm planning to get it around Christmas, and it has MIDI capabilities. It may not be a DJM 800 as far as digital-quality sound and functioning, but it is one of the most advanced analog mixers around. I too wouldn't spend over $1,000 on a mixer....the Nuo 4 is good for the money. It just doesn't have effects like the DJM 800 either...or the Xones. |

I'd rather get the Nuo4 over DJM 800 or any other high priced mixers. If effects are something you're not into, definitely Nuo4. |

Yeah I would too because i don't use effects, but if someone is going to and doesn't want to get an effector...get the DJM 800 or the DJM 400 for that matter (though I personally find the DJM 400 too small). |

Eh, I heard that Behringer stuff is awful |

It is, but for $200 you really can't get much.
