worse then a moron with a whistle/air horn and no sense of timing ?
worse then those tards who spill water on the floor because they want to 'glide' and don't know how to do it right without risking serious injury to the rest of us ?

I dunno...I'll take a sketchbag with lights over those bitches anyday...

+1. I've also never had anyone force me into a lightshow. If I see someone that really knows what they are doing and feel like one I'll ask. Win, win situation :)

that happened to me too & another friend of mine too! I had a bruise fo a while then! it freakin hurts! the problem is that place gets so damn packed and crowded, if you are bumping into people while dancing PLEASE DO NOT USE GLOWSTICKS! ;)

My experience has been that people who are good with glowsticks don't go around 'giving' shows. They don't have too. People recognize a good dancer from a weak one, and people who're interested in a light show come up to them and ask for one. Now I've been to clubs where you get the odd sketchbag who thinks they're tight with the lights and want you to check em out. Yeah, it's a pain if you're not feeling it - but it's easy to just say no and walk away. I've only once ever had someone persistently want to give me a show (and that's only because he wanted validation that he was a good dancer, and he was blitzed outta his mind)

I think the complaint that glowsticks cause unintentional damage holds more weight then saying people who glowstick are always looking to give shows.

How do people MAKE you stand there? Do they physically force your feet to the ground? Just politely say no, and go your own merry way.

I agree. They should find their own little corner and make sure no one goes there.

Unless you had a bucket and mop handy and then used some sort of cleaner I fail to see how water helps 'clean' the floor. All pouring water does is make the floor more slippery. I hate sticky floors as much as the next cat, but honestly - i'll take a surface with some traction over a slippery oil slick anyday of the week.

Sticky floors make ya work...Slippery one's just hurt.
