Chavez believes the Bushs CIA instigated a coup against him in his country. What do u expect him to say. |
If he really believes that, what's he doing running around Harlem? It sure wouldn't be too hard to take him out here, would it? |

I really didn't pay much attention to this Chavez guy before but this really brought his lack of coherence to the table.
He didn't state anything of signifance or factual relevance. Some things aren't even related to him or the United States!
What a joker. |

True, and there's plenty of historical examples of such protocol, like overthrowing Mossadeq and installing the Shah. |

IMHO Chavez is confusing America and Capitalism.
While America may be the hub of capitalistic culture, can we really blame companies wanting to do business in a global economy??
Isn't it ironic how America is set up?
Chavez can go over to America, give his tirade and sell his oil on one side of his mouth and then blast them on the other side while engaging in the very thing he despises.
Ask yourselves, why would he sell oil to the one country he hates the most?
Oh yea, could it be there's a market for it?
Why not sell it all to China if he hates them that much?
Is he hoping that by selling to NY it will give him some sort of leverage to his arguements?
He truly is complexing...:wtf: |

I'm not trying to defend Chavez, i think he's muy muy loco :p but i saw a documentary on the attempted coup and it does in fact seem like the CIA did sponsor the instigators; given the US' history of using similar tactics throughout Latin America i wouldn't be too quick to dismiss that certain claim of Chavez (dismiss everything else he says though :p ) |

The US does have a history of knocking perfectly legal governments in Latin America and installing convinient puppets. Although Chavez is a bit of a clown due to how he speaks and how he acts, i do admire that he's at least standing up for his own country's interests without bending over to the american influence in the region. |

Yes i wouldnt doubt the coup was orchestrated by the U.S. The U.S. not only has done in in central america but basically the whole world. Look at Iran, the U.S. ousted thier democratically elelected leader & installed a military dictator that ruled for 25 years. So much for democracy eh. But oh ya, we put the Shah in power & he gave us 50% of thier oil. |

Just a weee bit over the top.
Love his passion. Great smile. Terrific personality. Cooks a mean jumbalaya. Kinda nutty, though. The neighbors tolerate him. Coupla hissy fits here and there about some leaves blowing into his lawn, the weedeater being borrowed and not returned, but other than that he's pretty swell come BBQ time........... |
