Actually he was born in San Francisco and then later lived and trained in Hong Kong while it was still under British Rule. ;)
The market for his skills in China was never as valuable as they were in the US or Hong Kong.
But his parents were Chinese.
...and his first martial art was Tai Chi, believe it or not...

All I know is that his first instructor was Grandmaster Yip Man who was trainned in several Chinese martial arts, so it's quite possible as a starting point, although given his tendency to get into fights a lot at that age I have a hard time beleiving he would have the patience nessecary for something as calm as Tai Chi... I still can't do more than one class a year without getting bored. lol.
The first martial art Bruce Lee taught during/after universtiy was Kung Fu though.
Edit: I'd love to do Tai Chi when I'm 80 though! :)

Mike Valley is one tuff dude you don't want to with at all. He's normaly very cool and nice until you piss him off

I've got some great clips of him playing hockey and fighting during his section of an old 411 video magazine issue. He's so chill until you break him and then he just goes off.

Agreed.
Can we work on getting some real fight scenes in this thread instead of this fake movie stuff.....?
It's like watching WWE.

the protector one is the most realistic out of the movie scenes imo
cuz he breaks all the guys arms/legs to make sure they dont get back up and fight.
I wonder if its even possible to beat that many fighters/black belts with out taking even one blow.
starsearcher
Nice choreography

But his parents were Chinese (From Hong Kong though...). He was primarily British?/ American but if Chinese citizenship follows down generations then yes, he was still also Chinese. He didn't exercise his US citizenship until his late teens.
Edit: this is all pretty trival crap since many an asian in Hong Kong considered themselves Chinese rather than British... I just thought it was funny saying how he was so Chinese when in fact he never was technically. :)
apparently his mother was half German too
