There is nothing more depressing then when you are playing some house and some idiot comes up and asks you to start playing house.

I find it more annoying when playing a house/trance set and having people ask for hippy hop.

Another anoyying thing that just happend last night.
Annoying Slutty Treo of Girls: "Can you play something with words"
Me: "Uh..."
Trance Track: "*Vocals*"
Annoying Slutty Treo of Girls: "One with real words"
Trance Track: "*Verse then corus*
Annoying Slutty Treo of Girls: "Can you just play rnb?"
Me: *sigh*

In a sense they where right... rnb is more so just words then signing is it not?

I didnt care all that much since everyone else was enjoying it. There is always those three annoying girls who want to hear some crappy track so they can rub up against some guy who knows how easy they are.

heh, the EDM scene has a history of being beaten up by other genre's. Physically.... i guess we're not the type to start fights and beefs and try to be tough like guys into hard rock and hip-hop...

I played for an RnB crows. I started with vinyl, and acapellad D12 stuff with some trance to start off with. then just played vocal after vocal, and made sure I mixed in tracks as quickly as possible (even if it was a roughish mix), to minimise how long it takes before the next vocal comes up...

The crowd didn't seem to mind it. It was a very small crowd anyway. I still played a bit of RnB. Though they were into RnB, they didn't seem to react to badly to trance. I did get asked to play rnb by some girl though.

Best is to play both :p use looping if u have to, to mix from one genre to antoher. Use a tapping beat counter if you have to, and u'll master mixing into and out of rnb from 4x4 EDM no problems.
