It seems that all the sydney guys have a different point of view and to the Melbourne TA's and that is because your TT was always e. Sorry but you cant compare the mini TT you got at Home to what we had at Rod Laver.
I think it is really sad because I love such a diverse range of music. I want to see good tech and trance in the same venue.
Yes I have been drinking ;) |

Two Tribes 2000.
25 degree night, 18,000 in attendance.
BT in Shed 4, right under the Bolte Bridge.
4,000 kids nearly crying at Mercury and Solace.
Just one of those moments... |

TT03 was my debut – Junkie XL was the prog madness, the whole event was off tap.
TT04 Hybrid and BT progged it up and were just too memorable.
TT05 Prodigy were mad but other than that the event seemed more of a place to pose plus they had that cattle fence in the trance arena, cattle fences aren’t fluffy!
TT06 was awful, gay trance in one arena and gay house anthems in the other. It died on its arse this year and I am sooooo glad Future have seen that, I’ve every faith the replacement festival will be something I’ll go to, cos there was no way in hell I was going to another TT.
So maybe I won't be too old after all to attend big parties? Will wait and see! |

Geez all the way out in Homebush? Thats like us travelling to Undera for Earthcore ;)
I have only been to Two Tribes twice :) My first year I was scared of all the people but loved M.I.K.E to bits. This years wasnt that good imo. |

This is a good move in my opinion and one which personally I’m very excited about. As much as I loved Two Tribes (think I’ve been to about 4), I’d rather see it turned into something bigger and better before it started to get stale.
I will remain in a happy mood about this as long as Future don’t pollute their roster and bill Djs with a narrow minded approach focusing on what is popular now.
I see this as a chance to bring artists and live acts that can complement the Dj talent already lined up, and to provide numerous stages of diversity. I think the demise of Two tribes could also be attributed to the fact that it was one of the festivals that still was heavily infiltrated by underground acts. We all know what has been happening in the Global Underground rooms of the last year or two. Hopefully, with a new branding, production and marketing it can bring a fresh approach to the new generation.
I’d like to see this start in the afternoon as well with and outdoors/indoors layout, and then create the late night rave experience by opening up different areas with appropriate décor and at different times of the night with suitable djs for each area.
I’ll close by saying that if this move by Future can get more underground acts the recognition and crowds they deserve then let’s do it!
Oh and all the best for Hardware moving forward also, this'll give us an idea exactly where their head is at as well :) |

I'm sorry my friend, but you're confusing it with another year (or maybe Welcome 2000, which was freezing). I guarantee you Two Tribes that year was a filthy hot night and all the girls were in the most awesome skimpy clothes ever. |

I dont understand how the diversity caused a problem? I think that is what people enjoyed the most (well I did anyway). Where do you suggest the underground artists go? |
