How annoying.

May 2005 - I was in australia, so I missed his show (would've gone, cause I turned 18th the previous month)
I come back to norway, and I think he played somewhere I Oz - missed that
may 2006 - I was "russ" (graduation thing in norway) and missed that one too..

Now, I got the tickets, with two of my friends. AND HE GETS A FHECKING HEARTPROBLEM? Ok, I wish tijs all the best, but arhgha"%(/"Q=)¤

buhu, I would have seen him in 6 days!

Not really funny to make fun of a guy who is in bad health, that's bad karma. Touring DJ's lead physically grueling lives and often suffer from exhaustion as a result. Whether you like tiesto or not, you should respect that he ruins his immune system and runs himself into the ground to entertain his fans. Yeah, he gets a lot of money but his hours are crazy and I am sure changing time zones every week doesn't help much.

and that goes for A LOT of big time touring DJ's.

Well said.

I hope he doesn't just resort to Anti-Inflammatory drugs, as these things are the signs of early heart problems. Ignoring them and just doping urself up just means more trouble later on.

no offense... but not sound medical knowledge

hmm....

I thought they prescribed NSAIDs for things like pericarditis?

Correct me if i'm wrong. THis is an inflamation of the heart's lining? Definately they'll use Anti-inflammatories.... IF it's an infection, they'll probably throw in non-penicillin based ANti-biotics.

Where exactly am I off the mark here?

Get well soon Teisto. :)

I think the guy is more over-sexed than drugs/booze problem.

I still think it is the music[his music!] that causes his problems.

A few gigs spring to mind:

- 12/08/06 - technically this isnt a cancellation. His management was planning 1 date in Cream this year cos he didn't want to be flying around so much, only to find out it was the same weekend he'd be asked to open D4L in Toronto, Canada. He chose D4L.

- Pantakilidio Beach or something Philipines - monsoon season

- 25-06-05 HMH - got changed to Versuz, Hasselt, can't remember reason - think the HMH was already booked by something else

- TIC USA events 2005 - natural disasters

- Crobar Beinos Aires 2005 - Argentina had crazy period without parties or something, cancelled this gig till the end of last year.

- Nijmegsedriedaagsefeest 2003 - unsafe location to hold event

- Beachpop 2002 - sickness

- All gigs September/October 2001 - 9/11 and no fly zones etc.

2004 appearance at an EDM award event; he pulled out of it at the last minute to rehearse that "magic act" at TiC 2.

lol yeah the DJ Mag Top 100 2004.. DJMag were pretty scathing about that incident, even though their editor Tom Kihl came to the shownight and presented the award anyway 2 days later.
