I recorded my set from last night on my radio show. My show is every Wed night/Thurs morning from 11pm-2am PST on KCSB 91.9FM in Santa Barbara. (TECHNO)LOGICAL Radio is your source for the best in electronic dance music.
I was mixing via my pioneer djm600 mixer, and 2 pioneer cdj1000mk2's. I didnt have any monitors at all and had to mix entirely through my headphones for 3 hours.
As a result, this is a very raw and rough mix, but it is a lot of fun. I was pulling out tracks at random...some stuff I had never mixed with before. (I apologize for the bad quality of the 'proper education' tune, I burned it without listening to it first.)
So yeah just as a reminder, I was just throwin down whatever and having a ton of fun at the same time. Enjoy.

yo curlz, just listened to this mix and it's pretty dope. it's more like your old savage style compared to the newer sets you've been bangin out lately.
call me crazy, but i don't like mixing with monitors. i love mixing with just my headphones. but it prolly depends a lot on the mixer you're using.
my favorite track was bilingual. i bet the ladies get down to that one :p |

yeah bilingual is crazy. actually i dont think i should have played that song on the radio cuz it would be considered obscene...would still be regarded as inappropriate even during safeharbor hours. whatever. the FCC. haha.
I like utilizing a combination of monitors and headphones. I do not like to mix with only headphones tho, especially for 3 hours straight. I still have a headache from that . haha. |
