fix the search button

all i ever see in threds is people telling others to use the search before they post a related thread. well the search button doesnt work. every time i use it i get the same message "no results...note, the minimum search length must be 4 letters"
i have tried countless combinations of search terms, all over 4 letters.
one example would be:
tiesto global gathering...a 6 letter word, followed by a 6 letter word, followed by a 9 letter word.
this is just one of many searches i have tried to do with no results.
if i am doing something wrong, please pm me so i can search correctly. |

not just with the tiesto thing...i've tried searches where i use words from the title of the thread and still get nothing.
if i could search for threads by who started them, that would be nice |

| I tried searching for some old Tiesto threads in the Western Canada Forums from May, but both the 6 month search and the 1 year search end at July.:conf: |

i searched tiesto global gathering for all forums in the last 6 months and received 65 threads. |

Another similar problem:
When I search for Tiesto using the box at the bottom of the Western Canada forums, it displays the results correctly. When I go back to the tranceaddict Forums using the link at the top, I get logged out. :conf: |

I've had that happen once, months ago... I don't know why it happens - and I can't seem to duplicate it either when I try to. |

I can duplicate it quite well.:conf:
EDIT: It appears to do a "timed-out" logoff and not a "cookie-clearing" logoff. The Register button and the login boxes appear at the top of the forums page, instead of the Profile button and no login boxes. It doesn't actually go to the page where it tells you that you have logged off. |
