Device Panels Project for Cubase SX3 (and 4)

Hi fellow tranceaddicts!

I'm just about to start developing device panels for Cubase.

Anyone who owns hardware synths and have integrated these into Cubase (in the proper way through studio setup) will know that a device panel for the specific synth will make working with the synth so much more fun.

My goal is to make some really nice device panels that integrate the same features as can be found on the front panel of the hardware.
And - since I can't help myself - I also plan to make them "nice looking" by importing png's of the original front panel :stongue:

The reason I'm posting, is that I suspect I'm not the only one in this forum who misses device panels. So if other people besides me would like to spend some time developing these, maybe we could coordinate the efforts so we're not all working on the same synths at the same time?

I should mention that I'm a bit new to this. To be honest, I've never tried programming a device panel in Cubase before. But it's not that difficult, I think. But it would be fun to collaborate a little bit on the task. Maybe share some knowledge etc.

The synths (and devices) I have in mind first and foremost are these:

1) JP-8000/JP-8080
2) CS6R + AN1x
3) JV-2080
4) Nord Rack 2
5) Lexicon MPX-100 (reverb unit)

To my knowledge, no device panels exists for these devices. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Obviously it's my plan to share all my work with anyone interested.

Anyone up for the idea? Anyone who could use a device panel for one or more of the devices above?

Regards

EDIT: You might ask yourself why I'm posting this here instead of the Cubase forums. To be honest, I don't care much for the community over there. Most of the posters are newebies bashing Steinberg for something they believe to be a bug, when in fact it's only their own misuse of the software.

I used to use device panels for my Waldorf Pulse, but I couldn't get countroller dump to work on it. I bought a VSTi for it for like $30, and it's perfectly intergrated now. Have to have two midi tracks always set up to use it, but whatever I made a template.

Tell me if you get a device panel or something for your JP8000, I've kinda been wanting one.

Wish I could help, but I'm just a noob when it comes to this stuff. I admire your effort, however, and wish you the best.

I have heard that the people in the jp8080/jp8000 yahoo group have the device pannels for the jp.. unfortunetely I never registered and bothered to download the pannel itself.

I would be interested in the jp8080, Nord Lead 3, and Waldorf micro q pannels... I searched the net, including cubase forums, and nuendo, but no luck.. Tried my own.. let's just say it's time consuming, especially if you wanna make it look real, especially using a picture shot of the accuall unit..
