This isn't up my alley, but I tried my best to enjoy this. Starting with the first transition the mixing is off beat between these two tracks and when you dropped the Fonzerelli track it was at the wrong measure. The kick from the Fonzerelli track was mixed on top of the drum from the first track. For the next time match kick with kick and drumbeat with drumbeat. Also the dramatic slowing down of the pitch after the first minute or two is really obvious and should not have been done except in special cases. There is also a skip in the 9 minute and 30 second portion of this set. Personally I would have place this track later in the set and not right after the first one.

The second transition is also off beat and a real energy drainer. As a result flow was directly effected. Try not to mix in a low energy track right after an exciting one. You could disturb the flow otherwise.

After that your transitions are flawless until the end of your set when the trance segement comes in. The last tracks needed some more tightening up beatwise and better equalizing.

Overall the entire set was ok. I think if you stripped this mix of all the trance and kept it strictly a house set you would have been more successful. The theme you were aiming at here is very clear, but the trance just seemed way out of place the way you introduced it here in your set. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with mixing trance and house, but there's a time and a place (where time and a place = flow and track selection). All in all I wish you much success in the future and happy mixing Hiram!

P.S. - There's a typo in your tracklist for Smith & Pledger. Apparently you confused your A side with the B sides of your vinyl. The track Black is supposed to be named White.

thanks for the review stevie, i noticed the drain in energy too from track 2 to 3.. that was after i heard it. and apparently its time for new needles... theres times where i noticed a few skips here n there
