Hey guys!
First thing:
So im planing to invest in some "new" studio gear.
I have plans to invest in one of the synths first!
Waldorf-Q (Around 400 euros)or the Micro-Q(About 250 euros), it depends on if there is any differece in the sound, any one who knows! I really like the power in this baby!
Or a JP80X0 (About 400 euros), I like the smooth and clear sound that it pumps out!
Or a Virus B rack, but a little over my budget (About 600-800 euros), but i like what i hear from it.
OR the Supernova rack (about 300 euros), but i donr know how it sounds, so if anyone ha one, please let me know what you think.
And the last one, the Clavia Nord-rack 2(About 300 euros), Havnt heard this in real life eather, so!
What do you think is a good investment? Maybe its a matter ofpersonal taste, i know, but i donr know which i should choose, and i would like to hear what you guys think of the Supernova and the Nord-rack.
I will most sertain invest in all off the mentioned above in the future, but i dont know which one i should start off with.?
Second thing:
I gonna buy a new, good sampler, what would do you think is the best and most easy to work with?
So if you have suggestions, just "bomb" me with them, and then i will hopefully get some majority on some of them and go with that. :D
Cheers

Well I'm not really gonna give you advice on the gear you mentioned, I'm sure other people will be able to do that.
I'll just say it could be worth you going to:

Hopefully that'll give you a bit more info to judge from. ;) |

What I mean is I can't really comment on those synths because I haven't tried them, but I thought those links might be helpful. The way I typed my response looked like I wasn't prepared to help you, which isn't what I meant.:toocool: |

ive the jp8080 and i can say it sounds amazing, clear freash sounds... and thats b4 the sound is eq'ed or reverb added...
had the micro q and i loved it just didnt like the fact that it was slow to program as all the knobs arnt rite infront of u...
also had the pulse which i will buy again, only for basslines...had a vst pulse editor which made life so easy...
had a novation nova but is not as good as v-station !! so it went...
sold waldorfs due to money probs at the time....
if i had to pick one synth for trance i buy the nord rack 3, from what i hear the sounds it produces are unmatchable by any other hard synth, red that the sound is so good that it doesnt need effects!!!
of course effects will be added.... |

ohh, thanks alot Jay. Some really usefull info there. Well i also hear that the Nord-rack 3 should be awsome, but its a little to expensive for mw at the moment.
So after some listening, testing and adivces, im down to the JP and the Q.
I thing though, is that i have only tried the big Q, so does the little brother sound any different? any one?
Cheers

as far as i know they are the same, think its the q that holds the record for the amount of voices it can expand to, 70 or so!!
theres also a vst editor for the micro q, ill look for the site and post it up...
if there were a difference i cant see it being much....
update the os to the newest version and its good to go my friend....;)
