2nd Song in Reason

Hi you guys,
Only had a few comments on my first song made with Reason.
Here's my second song,... a 1999-2001 feel of Trance.

Still struggle with the right sound in the final mixdown though.
What is the trick for a clear, tight and wide sound?
Hope some people still like this type of Trance.

I love this type of trance! Nice feeling, nice melody! Think you should higher the synth that itroduces 1:05 a bit. The sound need to be clearer, as you already mentioned but I´m not a producer myself so I can not give any advices there :sadgreen: . Sure somebody else can, or surch in other threads (you are not the only one with that problem). Keep the good work up! :)

| ill be honest with ya , i really love the melody but your missing a few things , im looking for a PHAT pad to come in with the melody and it sounds too "dry" and a bit empty on the perc , you also have a few crashes out of place which disrupts the flow of it, vocals obviously help but if you get a few better sounds for your perc and a bit more "dreamier" (a.k.a reverb :D) around the place you could have a really sweet production! |

like some of the ideas but it does sound quite empty. need some phat synths to give it life.
some reverb on instruments as mentioned can give you a deep trance sound but for tightness thats eq and mastering.
nice sounds though.

Thanks for the comments. I agree with you guys.
But you know how it's like when you're all by yourself in a room struggling with sounds and melodies. After 200 times listenening to your demo, it's hard to tell which knob to turn or preset to take. Even my ears at that point starts to hear...well just noise.
But I also thought my song did miss a dreamy kind of touch. I will work on the feel of the song and try to get the synths tight/wide and the timing of some elements right.
