k i'm listening
bass comes in a bit dry? a bit like "hello here i am, ready or not"
maybe make more of transitions between sections
nice groove 1min ish. all a bit muddled tho, maybe free it up with some eqing.
nice bass move on 1:30. the eqing should bring that out a bit.
oooh liking 2:20, nice bass. lead is a bit wet pants on a tuesday tho.
claps and snare build are a bit wet pants too. needs either more grunt or more air.
liking the rolling main groove. da da da da. lead is still a bit wet pants. needs to be more ....errr...crusty?
standard bridge section. standard. yep. good. little change there. that was good. ooh kick roll
aah and it's all lovely again. could do with some more airyness here. some high "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahh" . "you're the one i neeeeeeeeed" all that bollox
again build is a bit wet fish. then again i do either crazy builds or none at all.
liking the syncopated stabby synth bit. dunno about some of the notes thom, the third one sounds a bit bum.
standard outro. standard. good. yep.
nice
so in general, sort out the lead, builds, transitions, bum note, equing.... add some effective compression (don't over compress!) and you may have a tune i may wiggle my beeehind to on a dance floor near you

I like it!
I find the breakdown to be the time when you ask in your head "Oh man, what's gonna happen when the kick drops!?!? What energy will the song give me here?" It's time to build that suspense. Here's what I hear:
2:20 - 3:00: Lead filter changes during this time
3:00 - 3:16: Lead filter seems to stay constant
@ 3:16: No change in Lead sound
Might I suggest something? Leave 2:20 - 3:00 alone. 3:00 - 3:16 Lower the filter back down but steadily increase the volume if the filter lowers the volume as well. Also @ 3:00 - 3:16 increase the presence of your pad steadily. Then at 3:16 pop your filter back up. It might give a kind of "where's that lead goin? [then at 3:16] Oh there it is! Cool!" :D
Could the lead at 2:20 use some panning delay that drys out after 20 or so sec? Might be worth a try.
I'm not saying that'll be the ticket, I'm just really curious as to what that would sound like and if it would give the effect I'm visioning in my head.
Your lead may seem a bit simple at times, but what you have brought in at 6:32 really plays well with the lead. That synth that comes in at 6:32, bring it out more, and in more places. |

| Nice uplifting tune! I like the melody, catchy (no, not cheezy ;) ). Nice main synth. Keep it up! :gsmile: |
